Privacy Policy
EveryDevTool privacy details for browser-private tools, server-assisted checks, logs, rate limits, and CAPTCHA protection.
Last updated: September 16, 2026Overview
EveryDevTool is designed so many tools run privately in your browser. For those browser-only tools, the input you paste, type, or upload is processed on your device and is not intentionally sent to the EveryDevTool server.
Browser-Only Tools
Browser-only tools may use your browser memory, local file APIs, clipboard APIs, and downloaded JavaScript libraries to process text, data, images, PDFs, archives, colors, hashes, QR codes, or other inputs locally. Avoid pasting secrets into any website unless you are comfortable with your local device and browser environment.
Server-Assisted Tools
Tools labeled as using the EveryDevTool server send the entered public URL, hostname, domain, request details, or related input to the server so it can perform checks that a browser cannot do directly. Examples include HTTP requests, redirect tracing, DNS lookups, email DNS checks, SSL certificate inspection, website status timing, metadata previews, and RDAP lookups.
Logs and Protection Data
To protect the service, the server may process and log technical details such as IP address, date and time, requested page or endpoint, server-tool action, status code, error type, request size, rate-limit counters, and security challenge state. Deployment should avoid logging request bodies or pasted tool content unless needed for security troubleshooting.
CAPTCHA and Rate Limits
EveryDevTool can use rate limits and CAPTCHA, including Cloudflare Turnstile if enabled in deployment settings. CAPTCHA providers may receive technical data needed to verify the challenge, such as browser and network signals.
Cookies and Local Storage
The site may use essential cookies or session storage for server-tool protection, CAPTCHA verification, rate-limit handling, and preferences such as theme. These are used to operate the service and are not intended for behavioral advertising.
Retention
Rate-limit and CAPTCHA state should be kept only as long as needed to protect the service. Server logs should be rotated and retained for a limited period according to the deployment configuration.
Third-Party Resources
The site may load fonts, CAPTCHA scripts, or assets from configured third-party providers. Server-assisted tools may contact public third-party resources that you enter into the tool.
